As the sole visual designer, I designed an emotive mascot, redesigned the logo and logomark to reflect the dynamic and result-oriented product, and additional print and digital company materials. Presenting my work to the company every week, I developed a suite of branding materials that holistically represented Boostability.

With another intern, Charles Madden, I conducted brand research through surveys and interviews with 30+ employees to consolidate the different perceptions of our brand from within the company. In doing so, we knew to ensure that our branding was approachable, friendly, and assistive

The updated logo captures the charming silhouette of the mascot and the academic focus of the company in a clean and simple way, featuring the iconic Boostability blue. Using the same two typefaces selected for the product, and having tested each button with a contrast checker, we ensured that the branding is not only cohesive but accessible to low-vision and dyslexic readers.

Collaborating closely with the UI/UX design team, I developed user stories, use cases, and information architecture that informed my work from a product design lens. Additionally, I collaborated with fellow intern Charles Madden in conducting brand and user surveys to understand the needs of our branding through an internal and external understanding of what Boostability represents.

The branding materials are not only seen in the application itself, but are used in redesigned lettermarks, email signatures, and pitch decks. Developing these materials was not only perennial to the development of Boostability as a product, but also reinforcing the values of the company, and presenting Boostability outwardly as a budding and dynamic start-up.

ADHD college students struggling to meet their goals meet both a new friend and reliable solution in Boostability– users are both encouraged and kept accountable by an endearing mascot and can easily navigate throughout the application to reach their goals without hitches.
