The Golden Age of Magic

INTRODUCTION

Myth of Lumi is a fantasy physics-based strategy card game where the players enlist the help of 2D magical creatures living in the cards, to compete in stylish magic duels against exaggerated rival magicians in a 3D space.


The goal of Myth of Lumi’s UI is to communicate complex mechanics in an intuitive and digestible way, reinforcing a casual gameplay experience. Additionally, it will create immersion by referencing design conventions of the golden age of magic shows (1880’s-1920’s).

UX RESEARCH

I aided in data collection, AB testing, and playtesting to identify problem areas, reducing user complaints by 95% and user error by 100%.
