Process

Working with a very interdisciplinary team meant taking the time to understand each of their artistic goals and strengths, and creating a style guide surrounding that. For the purposes of our exhibition, I developed a visual language that reflected our goals– we worked with a light sans serif font, used a light grain and chromatic aberration for an older vintage feeling, and added audio and sound effects that were subtle and relaxing.

To develop our social media strategy, we first looked at existing cafes but quickly realized that our one-night pop-up format was much better suited to social media feeds from music artists and celebrities promoting countdowns to a singular, unrepeated event their fans would not want to miss. One of our biggest inspirations was Taylor Swift, and took inspiration from her posts' covert tone of voice and visually impactful graphics that utilized both reel and image formats.
The team filming for Instagram and TikTok! A.P.T, A.P.T~
